My Approach

At Saga Psychology, building trust, stability, and safety is at the heart of every interaction. I believe that when children feel truly seen and supported, they have the foundation to grow, heal, and thrive.

My trauma-informed approach is guided by the values of connection, responsiveness, authenticity, integrity, and inclusion. I take the time to understand each child’s unique story, recognising their strengths as powerful protective factors in their journey. Every child is different, and so is the way they express themselves—I use a range of play-based techniques, from drawing and art to music and movement, creating a space where they feel comfortable to share and explore at their own pace.

With warmth and flexibility, I adapt my methods to meet each child’s needs, always striving to provide a safe, supportive environment where they can feel empowered and understood.

I recognise that a child’s well-being is deeply connected to the people and systems around them. That’s why I work closely with families, ensuring I have a sound understanding of parents' concerns and perspectives. I believe in collaboration—whether it’s with caregivers, schools, or other professionals—to create a holistic support network that truly meets a child’s needs.

Beyond individual care, I am passionate about driving positive change within families, schools, and communities. By advocating for system-wide improvements and providing guidance on best practices, I strive to create environments where children feel safe, supported, and valued. When families and communities thrive, children do too.
